Technology is required in our daily instructional practices for developing proficiency with using technology responsibly. Further, high-stakes assessment tools have shifted to an online platform and is data-based for instructional improvements. This is where generous gifts of people like you play a tremendous role for our students' academic success.\r\nTechnology is a practical tool for preparing students for college and career, as it used to assist with data-driven instructional practices for promoting academic excellence. At our school and in my classroom, we use technology for promoting responsible use of technology tools. Also, we use technology to guide students in proper navigation on various digital platforms. \r\nThe most exciting thing about the new computer cart and computer chargers, for which you so graciously donated funding, has been a huge game changer for the daily operation of my classroom. First, it provides us the daily access to digital learning platforms that prepare our students for academic supports in mathematical concepts. Also, it provides us with safe storage space for protecting the life of our laptop devices, as well as preserving space for charging our laptop devices each day. \r\nStudents are excited and grateful to have a safe space for storage of our laptop devices, as they take an effort to help keep laptops charged and stored each day. This has been a blessing to us, as it provides all students an opportunity to simultaneously work together in learning groups with, alongside their peers for instructional support throughout the learning journey. Additionally, individualized learning is now a new normal that allows students to thrive and achieve their individual instructional goals toward academic high performers in mathematics!\r\nBecause of you and your kind generosity, my students are several steps closer to enhancing their academic goals for favorable outcomes. Thank you for giving each individual student in my math classroom a blessed opportunity to be great in whatever capacity that they so desire. These two words guided my thoughts when selecting items for this project. I wanted our esports program to be able to accommodate more students while also being sure that those students were in a comfortable setting. You all through your very generous donations made that possible for the fall and spring seasons and for that I say from the bottom of my heart, thank you.\r\n The new games and systems allow us to compete in new titles and remain competitive in others. Madden is a yearly title and as such, we need to purchase new copies each year. This copy allows at least one addition student to compete. Street Fighter 6 is a very popular fighting from a classic franchise. This upcoming spring season will be our first time competing at it and we are excited about. The Xbox Series S gives us flexibility for future titles and accommodates those esports athletes that prefer utilizing Xbox hardware.\r\n The chairs are a true game changer. They offer a new level comfort that the older, wooden chairs were not capable of in their deteriorated state. They also add an aesthetic appeal to classroom/esports arena. Your support has made an immediate and meaningful difference in the learning experience of my students.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the iPad, my 8th grade ELA students have been more engaged and excited about learning. We've used it for everything from interactive reading activities to vocabulary games, digital journaling, and even accessing online texts and articles. The iPad has allowed us to incorporate more technology into our daily routines, and it's especially helpful for students who benefit from visual and interactive learning tools.\r\n\r\nGoing forward, we plan to use the iPad to support reading comprehension and writing skills through apps like Google Docs, Nearpod, and Flip. It also opens doors for independent research projects, small group collaboration, and literacy centers tailored to individual student needs.\r\n\r\nI've included some photos to show the iPad in action—thank you for helping us create a more dynamic and inclusive classroom environment. As soon as my students saw the materials — from motion carts to the weights and track — their excitement was undeniable. They immediately began experimenting in small groups by adding various weights to the pulley system. It was inspiring to watch them take ownership of their learning without even considering it work, all while collecting real-time data to analyze motion. These resources have transformed our classroom into an active, inquiry-driven learning environment where students feel like real engineers. \r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came when students discovered firsthand how increasing the mass of the carts caused the acceleration to decrease. The concept was intriguing to some, while to others, it clearly reinforced the concepts learned in class. Seeing the direct connection between the equipment and the physics principles they had studied made the concepts truly come to life. Their curiosity and excitement grew with each trial, and they enthusiastically debated their predictions and analyzed data together. These experiences not only deepen their understanding of physics concepts but also foster collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. As we move forward, my students will continue to build on these skills, incorporating the equipment into upcoming units on momentum, energy, and beyond. Seeing them work together, encourage one another, and take pride in their progress has been truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the new gear to build foundational skills, focusing on teamwork, agility, and strategy. Beyond the field, this experience teaches our students valuable life skills, including perseverance and sportsmanship, which will benefit them in the classroom and beyond.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are preparing for our first scrimmage, and the students are eager to put their practice into action. Words cannot properly express what I feel, but I will attempt to do so. I have been a teacher for 19 years and in that time have shared my knowledge of history but also my love for videogames. I am blessed enough to teach in the same community I grew up in and I know the value of having a constructive hobby that can keep you engaged. One of my key goals as a teacher was to be the adult I needed as a child. Gaming has enhanced my opportunity to do that.\r\nFive years ago, I was presented with a chance to bring gaming into our school setting with our eSports team. I was able to share that passion for gaming and give students chances to build relationships, learn communication skills, and shape leaders. Gaming is catching on at many places and universities now offer scholarships. We have competed and been successful with administration and community support. I worried that we were not able to keep up with the changes such as buying new systems. We were playing on PlayStation 4 systems, but this season that choice was made to fully embrace the current generation and play certain titles only on PlayStation 5. We did not have budget to cover purchasing new systems and I thought we would have to makes cuts and shrink the team.\r\nCoworkers suggested I try Donor's Choose. This turned out to be a blessing. With donations, we were not only to compete in the fall 24 season, but we had a student make it all the way to the state championship. Unfortunately, he lost in the final but it is the furthest we have gone as program and we could not have done it without you help. This was truly a momentous season because of your donations and support, the eSports program can keep going and be successful for years to come.
