It has provided a much safer and hygienic environment for our beloved flock. We hope to use this coop for many months to come to house our chickens. The laying boxes with hatches will allow the students to help us staff gather eggs. We intend to add a run with materials we already have on hand to this coop to give the chickens a little more room to roam. They are already enjoying their new \"perches\". In the spring, we will hopefully incubate and hatch more eggs which we can add to our coop.","fullyFundedDate":1759469708136,"projectUrl":"project/dac-chicken-coop/9405447/","projectTitle":"DAC Chicken Coop","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Steward","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9029022_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y46&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749526235027","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9029022"},{"teacherId":9626699,"projectId":8845005,"letterContent":"We can't thank you enough for your generosity in helping us create our MakerSpace Center! When the boxes of crafting supplies arrived, our classroom buzzed with excitement. They were thrilled to unbox the items! \r\nWe have already put these materials to great use. Recently, we worked on a special project called \"Kindness Rocks.\" Each student picked a rock and painted it with bright colors and encouraging words. These rocks were then given to our teachers as a way to spread positivity across our school. It was heartwarming to see the pride on the students' faces as they shared their creations with the staff. It was much appreciated by the staff, as they needed encouragement in this final stretch of the school year.\r\nIn addition, we are currently studying countries from around the world. Each student has chosen a country to research and is building a diorama to showcase what they've learned. The crafting materials have been a perfect addition — students are using the clay to shape tiny landmarks, the craft sticks to build structures, and the buttons, pipe cleaners, and glitter stickers to add special details to their scenes. \r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue using our MakerSpace for even more hands-on projects. Up next, we will be designing our own inventions — letting imaginations run wild while practicing problem-solving and teamwork skills.\r\nYour support has truly transformed our classroom into a place where ideas come to life.
