Many of my students come from underprivileged homes, and having these snacks available has made a meaningful difference in our classroom. Every student knows that if they are hungry, there is something here for them. For some, that means having a snack during the school day, while for others, it also means having something they can take home with them in the afternoon. When the boxes first began arriving, my students were amazed by how many there were! Seeing their excitement as we opened box after box was an incredibly heartwarming moment for all of us.\r\n\r\nYour donation has provided much more than snacks. It has helped create a classroom where my students know their needs matter and that they are cared for. One student in particular faces significant challenges at home, and each day he knows he can come to me and get what he needs without having to ask or explain. Knowing that I can quietly hand him a snack for the day or something to take home is something I cannot adequately put into words. Your generosity allows me to meet a basic need so that my students can focus more of their energy on simply being kids and learning.\r\n\r\nRight now, our 5th grade scientists are learning about force and motion. Soon, we will begin our properties of matter unit, where students will participate in many hands-on labs and investigations. Thanks to you, they can enter those lessons with full stomachs, ready to experiment, question, collaborate, and learn. The snacks may eventually run out, but the kindness behind them has already made a lasting impression on our classroom. Thank you for showing my students that there are people beyond the walls of our school who believe they are worth investing in.
