Your generosity has brought so much excitement, relief, and possibility into our special education learning space. Every day, my students come in with unique strengths, needs, and challenges, and every day they also come in with the hope that school will be a place where they feel safe, supported, and successful. Because of you, that hope is becoming more of a reality. Your donation has provided snacks, games, materials, and flexible-seating tools that will make a lasting difference in the way my students learn, self-regulate, and experience school.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, many students rely on consistent routines, sensory regulation tools, and positive reinforcement to be successful. Something as simple as having snacks available helps students stay focused and feel cared for. Many of my learners depend on that quick boost to help them regulate their bodies, maintain attention, or recover from an overwhelming moment. The snacks you provided are far more than food—they are an essential part of creating a calm, predictable environment where students can concentrate, participate, and thrive.\r\n\r\nThe games and learning materials you helped fund have also transformed our space. My students learn best when they can move, interact, manipulate objects, and learn through play. The games you provided will be used during social-emotional learning, academic practice, small-group rotations, and reward time. Whether we are practicing turn-taking, building vocabulary, reinforcing math concepts, or learning how to manage big feelings, these materials help make abstract ideas come alive in ways my students can understand. Watching them work together, smile, and engage deeply with these resources has been one of the most meaningful joys of teaching this year.\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest additions to our classroom is the new cart. This may seem like a simple item, but it is truly a game changer for both me and my students. In a room where materials need to be easily accessible and transitions must be smooth and efficient, the cart allows me to move between groups and stations effortlessly. Instead of going back and forth across the room for supplies, I can bring everything directly to the students who need it. This helps maintain flow and minimizes downtime—something that is especially important for students who depend heavily on routine and structure. The cart helps me stay organized, prepared, and attentive to each child's needs in the moment.\r\n\r\nAnother major enhancement is the addition of chair bands and wobble stools. These flexible-seating options have quickly become some of the most loved items in our classroom. Many of my students need movement to regulate, focus, and process information. Sitting still in a traditional desk can be extremely challenging for them, often leading to frustration or disengagement. The chair bands give students an appropriate outlet for fidgeting and movement without disrupting learning. Meanwhile, the stools allow students to rock or wobble slightly while still maintaining control of their bodies and attention.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating empowers my students by giving them choice, autonomy, and comfort—three factors that strongly influence their willingness to participate and their academic success. We have already seen improvements in focus, stamina, and emotional regulation because students are able to choose the seating option that best supports their needs. For some, the wobble stool gives them just the right amount of movement to stay engaged. For others, the chair band allows their legs to stay active while their minds stay centered. These tools help create a classroom atmosphere where every student feels understood and supported as a learner.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than provide materials—it has helped create a classroom culture grounded in empathy, accessibility, and opportunity. It sends a powerful message to my students that people they have never met believe in them and want them to succeed. Many of my students face challenges both inside and outside of school, and knowing that someone cares enough to invest in their future brings them joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nAlready, I have seen the difference your support makes. Students who previously struggled to sit through lessons are now able to participate for longer periods of time. Learners who found transitions difficult now move more smoothly because the cart helps reduce confusion and waiting. Our game-based learning times have become some of the most academically productive and socially positive moments of the day. These changes may seem small on the surface, but to my students and me, they are monumental.\r\n\r\nThank you for choosing to invest in a classroom that thrives on adaptability, compassion, and creativity. Thank you for believing that students with diverse needs deserve resources that meet them where they are. Thank you for contributing to a learning environment where students feel seen, valued, and capable of success. Every item you helped provide will be used daily, cared for deeply, and appreciated continually.\r\n\r\nYour support reflects the true spirit of community—people coming together to lift one another, even when they may never meet in person. My students and I are incredibly grateful for that kindness. Please know that your contribution will continue to ripple across our classroom in ways that support learning, build confidence, and spread joy far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart—thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1759190941526,"projectUrl":"project/1st-year/9639609/","projectTitle":"1st Year","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ehlers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10214777"},{"teacherId":9478582,"projectId":9542797,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through your generous contributions.
