As students worked on making necklaces and bracelets, they enjoyed listening to music and using Google to explore creative design ideas, which added to the excitement and engagement.\r\n\r\nCreating bracelets and necklaces helped students reduce stress, strengthen fine motor skills, and experience a strong sense of accomplishment when they completed a piece. Many students proudly shared their finished work and expressed how good it felt to create something of their own. Several even asked where all the beads came from, and I was excited to tell them that generous donors on DonorsChoose made this project possible.\r\n\r\nYour support had a lasting impact—not only by providing materials, but by helping students feel successful, creative, and valued. Our snack drawer was almost empty and we only had fruit snacks left before the donations arrived. When students first saw a full drawer with a variety of snack options, they were so excited to have so many choices! Due to your generous donation, we should have enough snacks to last well into the second semester.\r\n\r\nStudents have also enjoyed using the puzzles and fidgets during calming breaks. The large LEGO set has been especially popular! I have also been able to give out a few of the textured sensory stickers, which students can put on a table in a specific classroom or on an object that they carry around with them throughout the day.\r\n\r\nFinally, although it is not the most exciting part of the donation, the Kleenex has been a real lifesaver and there should be enough to last the rest of the year.
