Over the past few months, our after-school gaming club has been steadily growing into a thriving space for creativity and camaraderie. We've set up a dedicated storage area for our equipment, ensuring that everything is organized and accessible for our members.\r\n\r\nWe meet every Monday after school, and a core group of dedicated students continues to attend regularly. Thanks to the generous supply of materials, we now have everything needed for any interested student to jump in—whether they're assembling models, priming miniatures, or bringing their creations to life with paint.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we have exciting plans for the coming weeks and months. We hope to build more terrain for our games, refine and paint our miniatures, and, of course, dive deeper into gameplay. Learning the rules has been a challenge, but with the help of the provided rulebook, our members have been making steady progress. While the games started out slow, they are picking up pace as players become more familiar with the mechanics.\r\n\r\nThe energy and enthusiasm in the club have been incredible, and we can't wait to see how things continue to evolve!","fullyFundedDate":1737046471665,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-gaming-club-pt-2/9036974/","projectTitle":"After School Gaming Club (pt 2)","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3413611_orig.jpg?crop=546,546,x413,y98&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729629667942","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3413611"},{"teacherId":3413611,"projectId":8894424,"letterContent":"The program provides a welcoming and creative environment where students assemble miniature models, discuss games, play them, and spend time making connections with others at school.\r\n\r\nRecently, the students received new supplies, including brushes, palettes, and a variety of painting materials, which brought a wave of excitement to the group. These resources have sparked creativity and allowed students to elevate their skills. There is an excitement as the students work on their individual projects.\r\n\r\nWith access to a wide range of paints and tools, the students are exploring techniques to bring their miniatures to life. The group has also embraced technology, using a 3D printer to design and produce custom terrain for their games. This innovative element has enhanced gameplay and encouraged discussions about design and creativity.\r\n\r\nThe club continues to foster fellowship, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment for students who might not typically join afterschool programs. The students have been inviting others and a few new students have joined the club in the few short weeks we have been meeting. The students have been waiting to meet more than once a week.\r\n\r\nLooking forward, we will continue to meet and invite other students. The hope is that this afterschool program is a place where students can gather and make connections with their peers and adults.","fullyFundedDate":1729651963344,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-tabletop-gaming-club/8894424/","projectTitle":"After School Tabletop Gaming Club","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3413611_orig.jpg?crop=546,546,x413,y98&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729629667942","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3413611"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_76022","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":529,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":42,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":82,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":64.3,"schoolId":76022,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Perham High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Perham High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/perham-dent-ind-sch-dist-549/perham-high-school/76022"}
