They have to work on making the pictures in their heads instead of having them on a screen. Students have been earning prizes for learning their sight words and learning how to read and write numbers accurately. The prizes also motivate them to work hard to learn their multiplication facts. \r\nMy students have also been earning prizes for making good choices and having conflict-free and trouble-free days by using coping strategies and by going to an adult when feeling upset, angry, frustrated, or overwhelmed to communicate their feelings and to problem-solve - coming up with a positive way to manage their feelings and to solve their problems. \r\nThe students are enthusiastic about earning the prizes and by all the smiles and successes I get to witness each day, I know it helps them to enjoy coming to class, learning together, and having fun. Your generosity and care are helping to make a big difference in many students lives.
