This is now a space where students can grab the things they need without having it impact their learning. \r\nMy classroom does not have air-conditioning, so as the school year started, the water bottles were crucial for students who did not have their own. These are all supplies that my class has been able to make use of daily in our learning. We have used the handwriting paper during our phonics lessons to help students feel more confident in their writing. The erasers were amazing. I use ziplocks for any number of things daily from beads to storing paper squares for a math project. Each student in my class got a new box of crayons to refresh their personal supplies, which is so wonderful to be able to provide for them.\r\nMy classroom is able to better support my students when simple things like having enough crayons for every student is not a concern for anyone. As winter gets closer, I know we will also make a lot of use during indoor recess too! \r\nThe first time we got out everything was Halloween. I got to play chess (and lose terribly) to a student. I saw students invite a classmate to join in on a game of candy land to cheer her up. There were students persevering through solving the shape puzzles. \r\nI am so grateful for the joy you all have been able to provide for my students. Because of you my students all have access to learning on their iPads independently. \r\nEach student now has their own set of headphones. When we use technology they are able to listen to stories or have the text read to them. This is huge for students who are struggling readers as well as my English learners. I know many students in my class love to use the Epic app on their iPads to find stories that fit their interests.\r\nThank you for helping make materials accessible to all of my students.
