We recently had a family night where students got to use the STEM materials and show their families how they use the items in class. \r\n\tWe are currently working on our capstone for the school year. Students will do project-based learning on living things and work on programming. Since receiving the donations, my students have done many different STEM projects in the classroom. They have been learning a lot about different living things, different species, coding, and computer science.\r\nWe recently started the yearlong project of creating art, science, math, and engineering portfolios. When we come back from the winter break, students will be creating their book covers for the yearlong project and begin adding pages of their projects, different writings, and artwork for their portfolios. Recently of my students did an art project where they watched a video that guided them in creating their favorite fictional characters. They all had fun doing them and they created highly impressive artwork. Again we appreciate the support in getting the materials.
