Kids still want to learn, be accepted, and excel at their life's goals. This includes athletics. The difference now is that kids are more readily willing to talk about the pressures that they feel, whether those are real or perceived. Both as a teacher and a coach 25 years ago, I didn't have to deal with that as much as we do now.\r\n\r\nThis book has been a great resource for the young ladies that have participated. It has a way of teaching them new skills that they may not have used before. The way that the book describes failure, staying in the moment, using the process and staying in the moment has already helped our athletes. We have spoken about the stories in the book, during practices and during games. \r\n\r\nI believe that the girls have learned that failure is ok, and it is part of everyday life. It is part of growing up, learning, being part of a team as well as just being a human. No one is perfect, and the understanding that we cannot, nor never will be perfect is eye opening and life changing when it is realized.\r\n\r\nThank you so very much for your donation to this project. Many had never used one before and couldn't wait to start creating their own pasta from scratch.\r\n\r\nNext, students will take their skills further by designing unique pasta dishes, experimenting with flavors, and refining their presentation techniques.
