Working in a very diverse school can be challenging but we've never seen anything like this. Families are terrified to leave their own homes. Children do not come to school out of fear. Our school district had to do an emergency opening of virtual school since hundreds of families are sheltering in place. \r\nAll of this has negative impacts on learning, but especially my learners who have learning disabilities. The burden to buy basic supplies and fun, educational projects falls upon the teachers. With so many students staying home, it has had an impact on basic supplies for the students who have decided to come to school. There is a much smaller pool of shared supplies that parents send with their children.\r\nPlease help me and my learners! They are dealing with so much pressure right now.
