We use the supplies daily and they have made a significant impact on student engagement in our sessions.\r\n\r\nThe Decks of cards including values exploration and mindfulness strategies were even translated into braille for one of our visually impaired students and she is very grateful to participate in the group fully with her peers.\r\n\r\nThe tongue drum, Buddha board, stencils and sound machine also complement our mindfulness sessions. They have been very respectful and awesome with using them. It was clear that these simple changes had a huge impact, as their smiles and positive reactions filled the room with energy. I love hearing them laugh and seeing them smile when they talk about them. \r\n\r\nAs they settled into the bean bags and adjusted to the new lighting, the students immediately began to notice how much more comfortable they felt. Many of them mentioned how the soft bean bags and their larger comfy size helped them relax, allowing them to focus better on their work. The dimmed lighting, provided by the new lamps, created a soothing atmosphere that eliminated the harsh glare of fluorescent bulbs, which they often find gives them headaches. With this new setup, students felt less stressed and were quicker to focus each day because they knew it was part of the tradeoff to use a beanbag.
