Since receiving the encased insects, they have been looking at any and all insects they find outdoors. They count their legs, see if there are antennas or stingers, and discuss the colors and patterning they see. \r\nThe color mixing paddles have been a hit, with children seeing out the window, at each other, and at different tools within our classroom to see how different colors change how they see. As we opened them, they told me their grand plans for art projects, pretend play, and dance parties we'll have with our speaker.
