My sixth graders can use it to get some movement while they work, giving them another way to stay engaged during independent activities. It has been wonderful to see a student pedal quietly while completing an assignment alongside classmates.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the bike, they were curious and excited to try it. They quickly learned that it is a classroom tool: they can take turns using it while continuing to listen, think, and do their work. Having that option helps us make room for different ways students learn best.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through our lessons, students will use the bike during independent reading and other quiet work times. Your generosity has given them a practical way to add movement to their school day. Instead of relying on pre-cut materials, students can now explore problem-solving, measurement, design thinking, and craftsmanship in a much deeper and more authentic way. They are developing real-world skills while discovering the joy of building something from start to finish.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students are planning collaborative projects such as kinetic sculptures, bridge challenges, and STEAM-inspired art installations.
