Thank you so much for your generous donations for snacks. Because of you, I was able to provide snacks to students who needed them most, and it truly made a difference in their day.\r\n Students were so excited when the delivery boxes arrived. There were big smiles and lots of happy chatter as they saw all the snacks inside. Instead of telling students they needed to wait one more hour before their lunch time, I was able to offer them a small snack like pretzels to curb their hunger. Snacks were also given to students as a special treat and made available to children with allergies, so everyone had safe and inclusive choices.\r\n Snacks, such as Goldfish Crackers and Partake Cookies, were placed in the office for students who required a snack for medications or allergy safe treats during a class celebration. Your kindness helped create a welcoming, caring environment where students could focus on their learning instead of being hungry.\r\n Thank you for helping bring smiles, happiness, and full tummies to my students. In many schools, especially those in lower-income areas, resources can be scarce, and something as simple as a comfortable, designated space for students to gather can have a profound effect. The rug provides a cozy area where students can sit together during lessons, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. This is particularly important in classrooms where students may not have access to safe or quiet spaces at home. The physical act of sitting on the rug helps to establish a mental framework for focus and learning, reinforcing the idea that the classroom is a shared, welcoming environment. It encourages group work, discussion, and collaboration, which are essential components of the learning process.\r\n\r\nBeyond the immediate impact on classroom dynamics, the rug serves as a symbol of care and investment in the students' futures. For children in Title I schools, who may face challenges related to poverty or instability, seeing that someone values their education enough to contribute in such a tangible way can boost their morale and sense of worth. It can also inspire a greater sense of responsibility and pride in their schoolwork. As their teacher, I benefit as well, with a more organized and engaging space to facilitate learning, which can help increase student engagement and participation. Ultimately, donors who fund projects like this play a vital role in bridging the resource gap, helping to create a more equitable and supportive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1750774690357,"projectUrl":"project/come-down-to-the-carpet/9412506/","projectTitle":"Come Down to the Carpet!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Oravec","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8513122_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1656618712794","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8513122"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_71025","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":261,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":42,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.5,"schoolId":71025,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fountain Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fountain Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/roseville-community-school-district/fountain-elementary-school/71025"}
