We have so many students with high anxiety and for them to be able to come down to the library and use a pop it fidget or sit in a bean bag chair has been absolutely spectacular. \r\n\r\nStudents need to take many breaks throughout the day. The school day is long and it is a lot of sitting in uncomfortable seating. To be able to take a brain break and come to the library to build some legos or just flip over the bubble toys has been an immense gift for our students. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping to support our students' mental health and ability to function during the school day in the library!","fullyFundedDate":1731166269887,"projectUrl":"project/mental-health-in-the-library/8924821/","projectTitle":"Mental Health in the Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lalejini","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5918324"},{"teacherId":9827819,"projectId":8922965,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the materials to make my classroom a low-anxiety environment! The students can't decide whether their favorite materials are the fidgets or the lights that keep the classroom calm and serene. I see students from every class grab a fidget when they come in, and they are able to use them without any noise or fuss.\r\n\r\nI have set up a \"calming corner\" of sorts, with materials students can grab to help them get organized and regulate themselves, and students will go there to grab a chair band, fidget, gum, or a planner page. I have also attatched mindfulness stickers to the back of all my graphing calculators, and many students have asked me where I got them and where they can get their own because they like them so much.\r\n\r\nThanks again for all your support, it has been an amazing transformation for my classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1730941687264,"projectUrl":"project/create-a-low-anxiety-math-classroom-to-p/8922965/","projectTitle":"Create a Low-Anxiety Math Classroom to Promote Mental Health","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Goering","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9827819"},{"teacherId":1113881,"projectId":8929729,"letterContent":"I had no idea that the little stress-relieving objects you provided to my classroom would be both popular and effective. Students come into my room in the early morning, before class starts, grab one of these toys, and sit down and talk to each other while fidgeting with the toy. It gives their hands something to do. \r\n\r\nClass time has also been a popular time for these objects. While we read for 15 minutes each day, quietly, many students hold their books in one hand and one of these toys in the other. I believe they find them calming, which is perfect.\r\n\r\nStudents who finish classwork before their peers will sometimes grab a Rubik's cube or a sensory fidget toy and chill out.\r\n\r\nA huge success all around.
