With the materials we received the students will be able to learn how to work with different materials and different hook sizes. Crochet club allows students who do not know how to crochet to come and learn while also creating a place where those who already can crochet can hang out and discuss their projects and work together. These materials will allow us to continue to keep crochet club free to all students. \r\n\r\nWhen the students learned about the new yarn they were all so excited. Many of them had only worked with beginner yarn (tube yarn) and were excited for the chance to begin working with \"real yarn\" (acrylic yarn) as they call it. They also loved that they now had the chance to choose a different hook size if their project required it. \r\n\r\nOver the last two school years we have taught over 60 kids how to crochet while allowing those with experience a place to hang out and work on projects and to get help on new skills as needed.
