They were all so excited when they saw the new obstacle course set up in the therapy room and couldn't stop trying to complete it! Every session is much more exciting now that we have these items to use and my patients have been very engaged ever since. They also love the throwing game with the use of the target - having something that they are allowed to throw has been very exciting as they learn how to throw, aim, and play with purpose! \r\n\r\nOne child in particular was having a hard time engaging in physical therapy tasks and was nervous about doing therapy. When she saw the obstacle course the first day she jumped up and down and was SO excited to use it. My preschool student's faces lit up when they saw their new play doh colors and tools and are more engaged in OT than ever before. I have seen such great success with my students who have difficulty using standard scissors now that they have access to adaptive loop and spring loaded scissors. Additionally the visual countdown timer has been helpful to transition students to different activities without sensory dysregulation \r\n.\r\nYour contributions are not just items for my students, they allow for opportunities for growth, joy, and increased independence.
