The cordless blower helps students understand how professionals maintain safe and efficient workspaces. After woodworking, fabrication, or 3D printing projects, students use the blower to clear sawdust and debris, reinforcing the idea that cleanup, safety, and pride in workmanship are part of the job, not an afterthought. It also supports lessons on tool care, battery technology, and proper equipment handling.\r\n\r\nWhat about this product is most exciting to students?\r\nStudents are excited because this is the same type of tool used by tradespeople outside of school. The cordless design is especially engaging—it allows students to move freely, work collaboratively, and experience modern tool technology without cords getting in the way. Many students see this as a sign that they are being trusted with real tools and real responsibility, which boosts confidence and engagement.\r\n\r\nWhich students have especially connected with this technology?\r\nThis tool has been especially impactful for students who thrive in hands-on environments, including those who may struggle in traditional classrooms. Some students who are quieter during lectures step up during lab time, taking leadership roles in cleanup and safety checks. Others who are curious about skilled trades or mechanical work have asked thoughtful questions about how the tool works, battery efficiency, and how it's used on job sites. For many of them, this is their first experience feeling truly successful in a school setting.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students are not just learning about careers—they are learning how to work, how to take responsibility, and how to be proud of their space and their craft. Thank you for helping make that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760659714324,"projectUrl":"project/trades-and-tech-lab/9829646/","projectTitle":"Trades and Tech Lab","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Morrison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6337434"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_48430","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":243,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":42,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":90.5,"schoolId":48430,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Onsted Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Onsted Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/onsted-community-school-district/onsted-middle-school/48430"}
