The moment it arrived, students began using it to document their engineering builds, science experiments, and classroom activities with a level of clarity and professionalism we've never had access to before. For many of our students, most of whom come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, this was their first time handling a professional-grade camera, and the excitement was immediate.\r\n\r\nThis tool has elevated our entire interdisciplinary program. Students now photograph their prototypes, record progress videos, and create high-quality visuals for their digital portfolios and upcoming Innovation Expo. Being able to see their work through a professional lens has boosted their confidence and helped them take greater pride in what they create. It has also sparked new interests in photography, media production, and digital storytelling, fields many students had never considered before.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support has given our students a voice. This camera allows us to capture and share their accomplishments with families, our school community, and the wider district. You have helped shine a spotlight on a group of hardworking students who often go unseen, and you've given them a powerful way to celebrate their learning. Thank you for believing in our kids and helping us build a program that shows them what they're capable of.","fullyFundedDate":1746785875364,"projectUrl":"project/snapshots-of-success-launching-student/9305770/","projectTitle":"Snapshots of Success: Launching Student Photography Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Menard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8323658"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_62994","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":322,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":70,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"24.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":70.3,"schoolId":62994,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Da Vinci Institute High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Da Vinci Institute High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/michigan-department-of-education/da-vinci-institute/62994"}
