Your generosity has gone a long way in helping me create a Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) environment that is fun, engaging, and promotes a growth mindset. When students walk into my classroom, they are met with a space that encourages curiosity, effort, and perseverance- all made possible because of your thoughtful contributions!\r\n\r\nLast year, I completed a course on Whole Brain Teaching and began incorporating its strategies into my daily lessons. WBT increases student engagement and learning outcomes through highly interactive methods. It fosters a positive classroom culture where children are active participants rather then passive learners. The use of movement, gestures, call-and-response, and games helps keep students focused and eager, while also improving retention of the material. It has been exciting to watch my students respond with such enthusiasm, and I am grateful to you for supporting the resources that allow me to bring this method to life. \r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful tools your generosity provided was a laminator, which I used to create an interactive classroom game called \"Super Improver\". In WBT, the emphasis is not on rewarding innate ability, but on recognizing growth and improvement. Every child can achieve success regardless of their ability level because every child can improve! It is deeply rewarding to watch children light up with pride as they see their growth displayed for everyone to celebrate. None of this would be possible without your generosity of the tools it took for me to make the displays. \r\n\r\nIn addition to supporting WBT, your donations have transformed the work I do as a First Grade Reading Interventionist. My role is to provide daily, small group intervention to students who are reading below grade level. They need a nurturing environment that gives them both the skills and the confidence to succeed. The whiteboards, dry-erase markers, and sand trays you provided allow me to make instruction hands-on, interactive, and fun. Students practice fine motor skills as they write their letters in sand, or on the white board and eagerly hold up their boards to share answers, and engage in learning in a way that feels like play. These tools give me immediate insight into each child's progress and allow me to provide targeted support right in that moment. Most importantly the children are smiling, laughing, and experiencing joy in learning to read and write- something that can be especially powerful to students who have struggled in the past. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you again for believing in the power of education and for making such a lasting difference in the lives of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1746806260235,"projectUrl":"project/growth-mindset-learning/9274419/","projectTitle":"Growth Mindset Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10004970"},{"teacherId":3218015,"projectId":9279350,"letterContent":"Thank you for so generously funding our project, \"A Little Spot of Feelings!\" We were so excited to get our new materials!
