Your help is making my first time working as a math interventionist more manageable for me as well as more fun for my students. I know that students learn more when they are having fun, and I appreciate that you supported me with this! \r\n My youngest students love playing the variety of games in Tiny Polka Dot as well as matching up the tactile number puzzle. My older students are getting familiar with the addition and subtraction regrouping - and showing improvement with this challenging topic! The write and wipe number lines are a hit with all ages - rather we use them to look at for support or to draw on and wipe off. \r\n Last week we used the bug counters for the first time to practice location words with kindergarten and first grade. The students were so excited to \"play with the bugs\" as we placed them above, below, next to, beside, behind, and in front of each other. This week we will practice the same location words, but the students will be the teacher and tell the directions and use their vocabulary.\r\n The ten frame bubble toys are a huge hit in my prize box that students can access when they show growth. I love these because they are not just taking home a trinket, but a tool they can use for math as well as a fidgit.
