All of the items donated have been tremendous hits with my students. I work in two high needs elementary classrooms. Most of my students are minimally verbal. When we incorporate sensory play, especially spinning on the spinners, or playing with kinetic sand, we get so much engagement. This really facilitates communication! Nearly every student has LOVED the spinning seats. One of my student's family's even purchased him a spinning chair for Easter when they saw how much he loved mine. I appreciate that they are light enough to carry around with me yet durable enough to stand up under rough play. \r\nMost young children really crave movement. The bouncing desk chair has also been a big hit in one of my high needs classrooms. Just adding that little bit of movement helps my students stay engaged and at the table for learning. \r\nThe little textured animal toys and other fidgets that were donated have also been great to facilitate describing, requesting and commenting. Some of my students are not mobile and are extreme sensory seekers and these toys have been perfect as they are lightweight and interesting and can be hand held. \r\nThanks again for your generosity!
