We especially use them during small-group lessons, story time, centers, and independent work. Having a comfortable and supportive seating option allows our students to choose a space where they feel calm, safe, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new chairs, they were so excited! They immediately wanted to try them out and were eager to choose their own seats. It was wonderful to see their excitement and watch students who sometimes struggle with traditional seating settle in comfortably and participate in activities with greater focus.\r\n\r\nOne special moment was during a small-group literacy activity. Students sat in their new chairs while we read a story and practiced identifying letters and sounds. The chairs gave them the flexibility to move while still remaining engaged in the lesson. We saw smiles, increased participation, and students proudly showing that they could stay with the group and complete the activity.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building independence, communication, and self-regulation through our classroom centers and small-group activities. We will be using the cube chairs as part of these routines while students practice taking turns, making choices, listening to directions, and completing learning activities independently.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our Young Fives students resources that help them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. Because of your generosity, our Young Fives classroom has been buzzing with excitement, curiosity, and hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nWe recently finished our life cycle of a plant unit, and our little scientists absolutely loved getting their hands dirty planting seeds and watching them grow. Every day, students eagerly rushed over to check for tiny sprouts and celebrate each new leaf. They took their jobs as plant scientists very seriously — making observations, asking questions, and sharing their discoveries with big smiles and even bigger excitement!\r\n\r\nNow our classroom adventure continues as we begin learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. The excitement reached a whole new level when our caterpillars arrived! The students were thrilled to meet our tiny new classroom guests and can hardly wait to watch them grow and transform. Each day is filled with wonder as students carefully observe the caterpillars and excitedly talk about what might happen next.\r\n\r\nThe books we received have also become classroom favorites. They have helped bring our lessons to life and sparked so many thoughtful conversations and connections. Our students love gathering together to read about the very things they are seeing happen right before their eyes.\r\n\r\nYour support has created joyful, memorable learning experiences that our students will carry with them for a long time. We use it every single day during read-alouds and direct instruction. No one has to sit on the hard floor anymore, every child has a cozy, happy spot of their own.\r\n\r\nWhen I first unrolled the rug, the excitement in the room was priceless! Our new bookcase and book bins have given our growing collection of books a much-needed home and have made it easier for students to see, explore, and choose books that interest them.\r\n\r\nOne of my goals is to help my students become independent readers who are excited about books and confident in making their own reading choices. Because of your support, students are now able to \"shop\" for books more easily without struggling with overcrowded, heavy bins or having difficulty locating a title they want to read. Our classroom library is not simply a place to store books—it is an important part of our daily learning environment and a place where students can discover new authors, topics, genres, and favorite stories.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping us create a classroom where reading is valued and celebrated.
