I know the parents enjoying having up-to-date information on their child's grow. We also have a fine motor table open during free choice and the students love sorting the rainbow beads with tweezers. The tunnel has been a hit during circle time—students take turns crawling through as part of obstacle courses. The fine motor toys have been wonderful for developing pincer grasp and hand strength, especially when we pair them with sorting and counting activities. The clay has inspired lots of creativity—students have been making letters, shapes, and monsters. \r\n\r\nStudent reactions:\r\nWhen the new materials arrived, the students' eyes lit up! They were excited to explore everything and all wanted a turn. There were so many smiles and learning opportunities when we opened the packages. \r\n\r\nNext steps:\r\nWe'll continue using these materials to support our fine motor development and imaginative play. Next, we're incorporating the clay into letter-making lessons and using the fine motor tools during themed sensory bins. These resources have already brought so much joy and engagement to our classroom, and we're excited to keep finding new ways to learn through play!","fullyFundedDate":1755743682176,"projectUrl":"project/helping-my-students-build-strong-hands-a/9608701/","projectTitle":"Helping My Students Build Strong Hands and Focused Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tobin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4216118_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506973136350","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4216118"},{"teacherId":726967,"projectId":9830641,"letterContent":"It has only been a few weeks but already this shelf has made a world of difference in our classroom. The hands-on tools allowed students to physically manipulate letters and sounds, which helped them better understand phonics patterns and word building. I saw students who often struggled with blending sounds become more willing to participate, and they began applying what they practiced in small groups to their independent reading. The interactive, tactile approach made learning feel more like play, and that kept even my reluctant readers motivated.\r\n\r\nOver time, my students showed growth in decoding skills, sight word recognition, and overall reading fluency. The small group format also encouraged collaboration and peer learning, where students supported each other in making connections between sounds and words. I noticed stronger retention of phonics skills because students were actively constructing words, not just passively repeating them. The set provided structure and consistency in our phonics routine, which helped students progress steadily and feel successful in their reading journey.","fullyFundedDate":1733247893281,"projectUrl":"project/advancing-phonics/8934702/","projectTitle":"Advancing Phonics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smoot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2446635_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719359892883","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2446635"},{"teacherId":726967,"projectId":8926245,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our kindergarten classroom.
