Your contributions of coloring and design tools, rubber duckies, SEL conversation cards and materials, geoboards, and more have had a transformative impact on our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe new materials have energized our classroom with creativity and collaboration. They've allowed us to break away from routine paper-and-pencil lessons and work activities and explore hands-on, creative learning experiences. For example, we've used the geoboards to create geometric designs, helping students visualize math concepts in ways that are interactive and engaging. The coloring tools were instrumental in crafting student versions of the Sierpinski Triangle and geometrically-constructed self-portraits, encouraging self-expression among the students and connections to math in the real world.\r\n\r\nMemorable moments came during a team-building activity using the Social Emotional conversation cards. Students worked in small groups to discuss real-life scenarios, practicing empathy and problem-solving in a safe and supportive setting. The rubber duckies were a hit, too—they've become sought-after prizes in our class games, motivating students to participate with enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue to incorporate these resources into our culture of teamwork and creativity. The materials you provided will remain a staple for fostering positive expression in our classroom community and creative expression within mathematical contexts.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making these meaningful experiences possible. Your kindness and support have created lasting memories and invaluable learning opportunities for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1723468153318,"projectUrl":"project/growth-and-trust-in-the-classroom/8558392/","projectTitle":"Growth and Trust in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kurcz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9607918"},{"teacherId":1904294,"projectId":8969323,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for investing in my student's future. These calculators made everything run so much smoother in my class this trimester. Each student was able to have the tools they needed to succeed. They never had to worry about if they had a calculator to do a calculation in chemistry it was always right there for them to grab. \r\nI know that my students may not think having a calculator is a big deal but it is. Having a class set saved so much time in my class and gave them more instructional time to get help with the work they needed to do. Also it has helped not just my chemistry student but all students that come into my room. The number stickers have helped tremendously. Keeping them organized has help keep them in my room for other kids to use. \r\nWords can not express my gratitude. But thank you for helping my students and making their lives better:)","fullyFundedDate":1733291689683,"projectUrl":"project/calculators-for-chemistry/8969323/","projectTitle":"Calculators for Chemistry","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Grasman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1904294_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1522253428354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-grasman"},{"teacherId":1904294,"projectId":8900614,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this vision in my class and my students. These books bring a bright spot into my classroom. I have yet to have any students ask to check one out but I have had students flip through the different books and start conversations around them with their friends or with me. The project is making an impact. It will take a minute for them to get use to seeing chapter books in a science room instead of just text books. \r\n\r\nI am currently finding interesting ways to put these books into my curriculum. We currently had an in class discussion and activity around the \"Three Sisters\" chapter from Braiding Sweetgrass. It brought to light the ancient practice of the indigenous people and how their agriculture was based on symbiosis and plants working together. We had a great discussion surrounding on what is the best way to feed the planet and sustainability. \r\n\r\nSo thank you for giving my student this chance to look through science in a different lens and to get them talking about science. Which is no easy task. I am excited to see how these books will integrate themselves into my classes and hopefully transform my students learning.","fullyFundedDate":1730455820527,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-biology/8900614/","projectTitle":"Books for Biology!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Grasman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1904294_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1522253428354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-grasman"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_72906","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":750,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":15,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":72906,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Chelsea High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Chelsea High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/chelsea-school-district/chelsea-high-school/72906"}
