Your support has already made a meaningful impact on my students and their learning experience.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the oil pastels in a color-blending and layering unit where students are creating expressive artworks focused on light, shadow, and texture. These materials have allowed students to experiment confidently with techniques such as blending, scumbling, and building rich color depth—skills that are difficult to achieve without high-quality supplies. One especially memorable moment was watching students compare their work and excitedly point out how smoothly the colors blended compared to what they had used before. Thank you again!","fullyFundedDate":1765986646674,"projectUrl":"project/oil-pastel-supplies/9625801/","projectTitle":"Oil Pastel Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rider","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7996571"},{"teacherId":7996571,"projectId":9625722,"letterContent":"The donation of watercolor supplies has had a transformative impact on our high school art room. Having the proper tools has elevated both the quality of their artwork and their confidence as young artists. Instead of worrying about limited materials, students now focus on experimenting, refining their skills, and pushing their creativity further.\r\n\r\nThese supplies have also opened doors for more inclusive and engaging classroom experiences. Students who might not have previously felt comfortable with drawing or other media discovered that watercolor allowed them to express themselves in new, approachable ways. The classroom has become more collaborative, with students sharing techniques and complimenting one another's progress. \r\n\r\nOverall, the watercolor supplies donation has enriched our art program by giving students the opportunity to create with dignity and pride. It has ensured that every student has access to quality materials that allow their imagination to come to life. The gift has not only enhanced their artistic growth but also supported their confidence, collaboration, and creative voice.","fullyFundedDate":1758636649622,"projectUrl":"project/watercolor-supplies/9625722/","projectTitle":"Watercolor Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rider","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7996571"},{"teacherId":7996571,"projectId":8996953,"letterContent":"When students have access to high-quality glazes, they have more freedom to experiment with different textures, finishes, and styles, which sparks their creativity. I am actively using many of the products regularly to better assist my students and reach a wider audience of learning styles. Often with students, teachers find that one learning style isn't right for all. With the addition of supplies, I can help more students make connections to the content. Additionally, I am excited to add social-emotional journals to my next section of health class. It is my hope that through journally, students will better understand their own emotions and gain social skills.","fullyFundedDate":1729379549039,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-crowleys-sel-supplies/8881651/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Crowley's SEL Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Crowley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9803588"},{"teacherId":9810859,"projectId":8893435,"letterContent":"This book is really cool because the stories, poems, screen plays, and plays are written by actual people who struggle or struggled with mental illness. The stories touch on body dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and OCD--things many teens face. What also makes these stories so great is they are written for teens. There are a few curse words, mentions of romance, and other relatable things for teens. Finally, I like how they focus on how one's mental illness does not have to limit them, but that each person can still thrive. Some of my female students who are struggling with their appearance have really appreciated knowing they are not alone. I also think the stories about anxiety have helped my juniors as they approach the SAT and just recognizing their emotions more. \r\n\r\nInstead of forcing students to read all of the chapters, I shared with them what each one was about. I wanted to make sure students were aware of the content ahead of time so no one was triggered. I also encouraged them to have discussions with peers who chose to read the same chapter. Students could compare their own lives with things that happened in the text, or completely reject things that happened. Overall, it was about exposure to stereotypes and stigmas associated with mental illness and how to start the dialogue. I think we achieved that.","fullyFundedDate":1729541183480,"projectUrl":"project/absolutely-ending-mental-health-stereo/8893435/","projectTitle":"AB(SOLUTELY) Ending Mental Health Stereotypes through Stories and Dialogue","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jorgensen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9810859"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68905","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":376,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":92,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":76.9,"schoolId":68905,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Beal City Middle High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Beal City Middle High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/beal-city-public-school-district/beal-city-public-school/68905"}
