Now each student in my social studies class has their own copy of Kathleen Benner Duble's novel, \"The Sacrifice.\" They take temporary ownership during the lessons and follow along during a read aloud at school Additionally, they can read the book at home if they have been absent.\r\n\r\nThis novel features the first-hand narrative of ten-year-old Abigail, whose family experiences the devastating effects of false accusations during the Salem witch trials.
