They're available in my counseling office, and students use them often upon arrival, after gym, or simply when they want to feel refreshed and confident. One moment that stood out was a student who came in anxious before presenting in class. He used some of the grooming items, took a breath, and said, \"Okay... I feel better now.\" It may seem small, but for our kids, those small boosts make school feel more manageable.\r\n\r\nMany of my students don't always have consistent access to hygiene products at home, so seeing these items available and free of judgment meant a lot. A few students immediately grabbed items they needed and said thank you more times than I could count. You could see their shoulders drop, like a weight was lifted.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on social-emotional lessons focused on self-advocacy and personal wellness. These resources fit perfectly into that work because they help students feel prepared, dignified, and ready to engage. Our next steps include helping students build healthy routines, improve attendance, and develop confidence. Having these supplies available removes one more barrier that often gets in their way.","fullyFundedDate":1757547731444,"projectUrl":"project/dignity-in-a-drawer-supporting-student/9687670/","projectTitle":"Dignity In A Drawer: Supporting Student Hygiene","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3790840"},{"teacherId":10358155,"projectId":9911192,"letterContent":"Amazingly, we have already received the snacks made available because of this fundraiser!
