Our therapeutic support program got an additional classroom halfway through the school year and the donations we received through this project were so helpful in furnishing our new classroom.\r\n\r\nOur students benefitted from having access to snack items in the classroom as well as other basic needs like paper towels and tissues. These were especially beneficial during the MCAS testing season and helped our students get through the long testing days. Our students also appreciated having alternative seating options within the classroom with the addition of our new rug and floor pillows. These, along with the other new decorative items, made our new classroom feel familiar and comfortable. \r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and making a difference in the day to day experience of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1741802158044,"projectUrl":"project/resources-for-our-therapeutic-support-pr/9040753/","projectTitle":"Resources for Our Therapeutic Support Program","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9409308"},{"teacherId":9279310,"projectId":8805705,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our middle school counseling office has been transformed into a warm, welcoming space that truly meets our students' therapeutic and emotional needs. The moment our students saw the new materials—especially the saucer chairs, kinetic sand, and Legos—their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. The Legos have quickly become a favorite tool during one-on-one sessions, offering students a creative outlet while allowing them to open up more easily. The Theraputty and kinetic sand have also been incredibly helpful for students who struggle with anxiety; these sensory tools give them a way to self-regulate and stay grounded during difficult moments.\r\n\r\nWe've already seen a difference in how students are engaging in our space. A recent group counseling session ended with students using the basketball hoop for a quick game, laughing together and building stronger peer connections. It's amazing to see how a mix of comfort, creativity, and movement can shift the energy in the room and help students feel at ease. As we move forward, we're using these tools to support lessons around emotional regulation, teamwork, and resilience-building. Thanks to you, our students now have a safe haven where they can reflect, decompress, and grow—not just academically, but emotionally. We are so grateful for your kindness and investment in their well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1735657690918,"projectUrl":"project/calm-and-creative-building-a-welcoming/8805705/","projectTitle":"Calm and Creative: Building a Welcoming Counseling Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Meade","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9279310_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694744721413","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tides2023"},{"teacherId":2178345,"projectId":8551441,"letterContent":"On behalf of my middle school students,, I want to express our sincere gratitude for your generous support of my classroom organization project. \r\n\r\nWhen using their bins and mailboxes, the students were incredibly excited and recognized how these simple tools could help them stay organized and on top of their schoolwork.
