Materials like the supplies drawers and storage bins have helped to make our classroom organized so students can access all the materials they need. What my students have loved most are the pillows and books for our classroom library. Students look forward to independent reading every day and always ask to be able to read with their friends and sit on the pillows. Our daily independent reading time has gotten kids reading SO many books this year.\r\n\r\nOne thing I'm looking forward to in 2026 is using the library to help students set and reach goals related to reading. I will be making a reading goal wall next to the library and encouraging students to complete nightly reading in addition to the independent reading time in class. I can't wait for them to track their progress towards ambitious 2026 reading goals in our classroom library!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support of my classroom and helping our amazing 5th graders build a lifelong love of reading. My students are absolutely thrilled with these beautiful new shelves—many stopped in their tracks the first time they saw them! With an average of 75 books checked out every day, having an organized and inviting space has made an incredible difference. Students have taken real pride in returning books promptly and keeping them in excellent condition, and your gift has helped inspire that sense of responsibility.\r\n\r\nBeyond book storage, the new shelving has transformed the learning center itself. The space now feels open, welcoming, and purposeful—so much so that students are clamoring to use it for reading, collaborating, and working together. What was once a quiet corner is now an in-demand hub for learners from all across the building. Your generosity hasn't just improved our library—it has strengthened our entire school community. Thank you for making such a meaningful impact on our students and their daily learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1755723230057,"projectUrl":"project/a-shelf-of-our-own-books-books-everyw/9564329/","projectTitle":"A Shelf of Our Own! After her initial jump for joy, she carefully walked over to the pile, looked at the titles, and exclaimed, \"I'm going to read them all!\"\r\n\r\nClamoring for more, many of my students started reading books from new authors and even started giving each other recommendations!
