As soon as they were set up, kids were asking, \"Can I sit on one first?\" and \"These are so cool!\" Their enthusiasm has not faded—students actually want to come to small group now because they get to use the stools. What was once just a routine part of math or science has become something they look forward to, and that excitement has helped me pull in even more students for support and collaboration.\r\n\r\nThe stools have been a game-changer for flexibility in our classroom. During small group time, the stools give students options—some prefer sitting on the floor while others use the stools, which creates a flexible and welcoming space for learning. Outside of small groups, students also like using the stools at their desks. One student shared, \"It's easier to focus when I can move a little,\" and I've noticed that the gentle movement truly helps students who have trouble sitting still stay more engaged in their work.\r\n\r\nAs we continue with our math and science projects this year, these stools will keep making group work smoother and more inviting. Whether students are problem-solving together, testing science prototypes, or working independently, they now have seating that supports their focus and makes learning more enjoyable. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity—their smiles and excitement say it all!\r\n\r\nFrom my students themselves: \"Thank you for making math group fun!\"","fullyFundedDate":1755990942698,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-every-learner-flexible-seati/9403704/","projectTitle":"Supporting Every Learner: Flexible Seating for an Inclusive Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Chruney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10052569"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_62492","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":898,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":18,"percentAsian":23,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"27.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.9,"schoolId":62492,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/massachusetts-department-of-education/ben-franklin-charter-school/62492"}
