Your donations allowed me to purchase items for a reading nook, headphones and a microphone for accessibility, and coloring and craft supplies to promote engagement through hands-on activities. We have used our coloring and craft supplies to write acrostic poems, make costumes for our reader's theater, and create props for a debate with persuasive arguments. \r\nThe reading nook has also become a place for students to take a break and practice regulating their emotions when class becomes overwhelming or they are experiencing distress. When they first saw the materials, they were so excited to have a comfortable space in their classrooms that makes sure students can feel welcome in the classroom. As we move forward into the new year, these supplies have helped me establish classroom routines that support the academic and socioemotional needs of my students by meeting them where they're at when they come into school and fostering positive experiences that uplift their relationship to learning. I cannot thank you enough for your help!","fullyFundedDate":1756326578795,"projectUrl":"project/reading-nook-and-classroom-basics-for-li/9648592/","projectTitle":"Reading Nook and Classroom Basics for Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Zhou","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10222538_orig.jpg?crop=1078,1078,x1139,y866&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756155739442","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10222538"},{"teacherId":8991058,"projectId":9070684,"letterContent":"Thank you for all the donations for my super science. Whether it's viewing student data, behavior reports, or classroom activities, parents can follow along in real time, ask informed questions, and feel more included in the conversation. This shared visual experience helps build stronger connections with staff and encourages more productive dialogue, turning meetings into collaborative problem-solving sessions rather than one-sided updates.\r\n Having a printer available during meetings empowers parents by giving them immediate access to important documents, such as IEP plans, progress reports, schedules, or resources discussed during the meeting. Instead of waiting for follow-up emails or mail, parents leave with printed copies in hand, allowing them to review, make notes, and stay informed right away. This instant access supports transparency and helps ensure that parents can meaningfully participate and follow through after the meeting.","fullyFundedDate":1757289565112,"projectUrl":"project/including-parents/9659763/","projectTitle":"Including Parents","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ferchak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1076898"},{"teacherId":10096871,"projectId":9510544,"letterContent":"Our young students have really benefited from the addition of their baskets, which have made a big difference in keeping materials organized and easy to find. Having their own space for supplies has helped them take responsibility for their belongings and reduced the time spent looking for items, allowing us to focus more on learning. Along with this, their worry stones have become a meaningful part of their toolbox, providing a calming strategy whenever they need a moment to self-regulate. It has been encouraging to see how these small supports have empowered students to take charge of both their learning and their emotions.\r\n\r\nWe also introduced dry erase chalk markers to create tens frames directly on their desks, which has been an engaging and practical way to use math manipulatives. This hands-on approach has made math more interactive, allowing students to visualize numbers, practice counting, and build a stronger foundation in number sense. The combination of organization, emotional support, and creative learning tools has greatly enriched our classroom environment. Thank you for helping to make these resources possible for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1753973589181,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-learning-for-first-grade-stud/9510544/","projectTitle":"Empowering Learning for First Grade Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10096871_orig.jpg?crop=2085,2085,x0,y284&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753800832024","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10096871"},{"teacherId":10037626,"projectId":9362021,"letterContent":"We don't even know where to begin in saying thank you for all of the support and help we've received! The students are so excited to use the new dry erase markers to practice writing their names and words of the week. They love that they can erase and try again, which teaches them that it's okay to make mistakes and keep learning.\r\n\r\nThe folders and binders have been such a big help, too. They may seem like simple supplies, but they are so important in kindergarten. The children use them every day to keep their work organized and to carry important papers between home and school. These tools are helping them learn responsibility and independence at a young age.\r\n\r\nThe crayons, crayon boxes, glue sticks, and other supplies have also made a big difference. The students are using them to be creative, stay organized, and take pride in their own materials. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has had an immediate impact in our classroom. You've not only provided supplies we use every single day, but you've also shown our students that their education matters and that people care about their success.
