Learning new skills can be especially difficult for my students and engaging them in game play related to the skills they are learning has allowed them to strengthen their skills across the board! My students have loved playing sight word Zingo, practicing spelling and reading their sight words as they find a matching chip. In addition to this, they have been able to expand their language skills by playing Is or Isn't It, a game where you need to find different synonyms and antonyms using different picture cards. This game has taken bingo to a whole new level. Another game my students enjoy playing is one where they have to become pirates and interpret context clues of short stories and scenarios! This has really helped my students develop their social, language, and reading/writing skills this year. I would not have been able to provide these incredible learning games without you, so I am forever grateful for your donations to my classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1730425636001,"projectUrl":"project/sparking-a-love-for-reading-through-game/8530863/","projectTitle":"Sparking a Love for Reading Through Games","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fenn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9031636"},{"teacherId":9031636,"projectId":8531086,"letterContent":"Thank you for providing my classroom with the culturally inclusive art supplies for me to be able to allow each of my students to express themselves and represent themselves in their art pieces they create. We also were able to practice academic skills with the chalk pieces and try out a new way create art with the spray art activities you have funded!
