We received a canopy, bean bag chair, timer and classroom rug. You have helped to renew our classroom and make it cozy and bright for our students. When our materials arrived, the students were excited when we opened the materials. We were able to lay out the rug after students were dismissed and the next morning, kids ran into the room and went over to look at the rug before they even put their belongings away. They told our art teacher and other adults they came across that day about our new rug. \r\n\r\nThe children now enjoy morning meeting, read aloud stories and lessons on a new rug where each child has a clearly outlined spot. Our last rug was very worn and stained and this new bright rug was an exciting update to our classroom.\r\n\r\nOur classroom library went from an empty and sterile space with a rug and a few stools to one that is cozy with the addition of a canopy and bean bag chair. Kids regularly lounge in the bean bag chair to enjoy a story or two with a friend. Our library has also become a quiet space for students to sit when they are having strong feelings. The bean bag chair, calming canopy and timer help them to manage their feelings and be able to return to the group in a better space.\r\n\r\nWe also use the timer to help students gauge time and monitor when they need to clean up. Once they hear the timer \"ding\" they know it is time to clean up and join the class on the new rug.
