The addition of this new technology has greatly enhanced their learning experience. By providing access to audiobooks, students who struggle with traditional reading are now able to engage with texts in a way that suits their learning needs. This has particularly benefited students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties, as the auditory format allows them to absorb information more effectively, improving both their comprehension and enjoyment of the material.\r\n\r\nThe excitement around the new audiobooks is palpable in the classroom. Many of my students are thrilled to have the option to listen to books that they would otherwise find challenging. For some, this technology has sparked a renewed love for reading, as they can now explore stories and information at their own pace. In particular, a few of my students who have previously struggled with attention and focus have found the immersive experience of audiobooks to be especially helpful. They are more engaged, and their participation in discussions has noticeably increased. It's been a joy to see these students thrive with this new resource, and I know it's made a lasting impact on their education.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your thoughtful and impactful contribution. It's making a world of difference for my students, and we are incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1556642438842,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-second-language-thru-reading/4076140/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Second Language thru Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guillen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5703689"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42439","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":326,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":37,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":71,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.5,"schoolId":42439,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Phyllis E Williams Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Phyllis E Williams Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/prince-george-s-county-public-schools/phyllis-e-williams-elementary-school/42439"}
