And while they seem such a small things, the lyres provided by this project were critical to our success. \r\n\r\n Numerous occasions we were called on to play music to fill time, and having the ability to use flip folders doubled or tripled the amount of pieces we could perform. The students love having so many options for music, and are actively requesting new songs for the future. The new shoulder rests for our violins and violas have made a tremendous difference in both comfort and playing technique for my students. We've already put them to great use in our current unit on bowing technique, and the improvement in tone and confidence has been noticeable almost immediately.\r\n\r\nWhen the shoulder rests arrived, my students were so excited—they couldn't wait to try them out! For many of them, it was the first time they'd played with a rest that actually fit well and felt stable. One student even said, \"I didn't know playing could feel this easy!\" These new resources have created a more inclusive and supportive environment, especially for our beginners. As we move into our next project—preparing for our spring recital—students will be using their new shoulder rests daily to practice ensemble pieces with proper form and control. We have used this cart nearly every day since we received it. One of the first times that we used the cart is documented in the picture slide show. We were able to take nearly an entire working office worth of items to the County Solo and Ensemble Festival where over 100 students participated. We had a printer, instrument repair kit, music filing box, a keyboard piano and more, and I managed it all in one trip!\r\n\r\n The lapel microphone has saved my voice, and allows me to roam throughout the room during rehearsal to better monitor and offer help and guidance.
