The cleaning supplies have helped us maintain a healthy and welcoming environment, something especially important for young learners who spend so much of their day here. \r\n\r\nThe organizing bins have made a huge difference in accessibility and independence. Now, storybooks, dice, and visual aids are easy to find and use, which has made transitions smoother and allowed us to maximize learning time. Students love being able to grab materials on their own when it's time to tell or act out a story.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting transformation, though, has come from the storytelling resources and boards. Students are creating their own stories in Spanish thanks to these resources. The storybooks have exposed them to rich vocabulary and authentic cultural themes, deepening their language skills.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, students who once hesitated to speak Spanish are now eagerly raising their hands to add ideas to our class stories. They've discovered that learning a language isn't about memorizing words—it's about using them to connect, imagine, and communicate. Spelling is also funnier than ever by writing in our boards.\r\n\r\nYour support made all of this possible. You didn't just provide materials—you helped create an environment where students feel safe, seen, and excited to learn. Every time I hear a student proudly say a full sentence in Spanish during one of our stories, I think of the kindness that made this possible.\r\n\r\nFrom my students and me—¡muchísimas gracias! Thank you for believing in the power of storytelling and helping us bring Spanish to life, one story at a time.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt gratitude,","fullyFundedDate":1759414639722,"projectUrl":"project/clean-creative-and-conversational-bri/9754628/","projectTitle":"Clean, Creative, and Conversational: Bringing Spanish to Life Through Stories!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G.B.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9805745_orig.png?crop=726,726,x0,y116&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729044478215","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9805745"},{"teacherId":9009264,"projectId":9594106,"letterContent":"On behalf of the students, staff, and administration of Melwood Elementary School, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation that allowed us to replace the school health office furniture destroyed by mold.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your support is immediate and profound. Replacing the affected items was critical for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Thanks to you, we were able to purchase a new chair and desk, creating a space that is now:\r\n\r\nSafe and Healthy: By removing the mold-damaged furniture, we've eliminated a potential health hazard, which is my top priority as the school nurse.\r\n\r\nWelcoming and Comfortable: The new, clean furniture provides a much-needed sense of calm and comfort for students who are feeling ill, injured, or simply need a quiet moment. A pleasant environment aids in the recovery and care process.\r\n\r\nMore Functional: With updated, reliable furniture, the health office can operate more efficiently, allowing me to focus more time and energy on direct student care.\r\n\r\nYour gift wasn't just furniture; it was an investment in the well-being and safety of every student at Melwood Elementary School. With the new materials and technology, we've created a more inclusive, interactive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels supported and empowered.\r\n\r\nThe iPad Air, paired with the AirPods, has become a key tool for my TAG (Talented and Gifted) students. As shown in the photo, two students are using the iPad and using both AirPods to simultaneously listen to instructions in Spanish while creating a 3D invention in the Tinkercad app. This innovative activity combines language learning with STEM and creativity, encouraging higher-order thinking and bilingual proficiency.\r\n\r\nThe Lenovo tablets have also been extremely valuable, especially for students who need extra reinforcement. These students now have the option to complete daily assignments digitally or use supportive apps like Duolingo to practice at their own pace. This flexibility ensures that all learners are receiving the differentiated support they need, right when they need it.\r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies—such as crayons, markers, and Spanish books—are being used to enrich and adapt existing schoolwork. We now modify and enhance activities from our school textbooks, making them more engaging and accessible. With the new color printer cartridges, we've been able to print vibrant, high-quality materials and laminate them for durability. These laminated visuals are used for speaking activities and interactive games, helping to reinforce vocabulary and oral language skills in a fun and lasting way.\r\n\r\nBasic items like correction tape, poster tools, and cleaning supplies continue to help us maintain an organized, functional, and welcoming classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students now have access to tools and materials that meet their diverse learning needs and spark curiosity. This project has not only improved how we learn—it has elevated what we believe is possible in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1745266441420,"projectUrl":"project/talk-the-tech-tools-and-tablets-for-tal/9249401/","projectTitle":"Talk the Tech: Tools and Tablets for Talented Tongues!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G.B.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9805745_orig.png?crop=726,726,x0,y116&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729044478215","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9805745"},{"teacherId":8974274,"projectId":7212386,"letterContent":"Wow!!
