Nearby, others played Jenga and Chess, showing off their focus, strategy, and teamwork. The music added to the lively atmosphere, and a few of our custodians even dropped by to witness the fun we were having. It was heartwarming to see students from different grade levels bonding over simple, timeless games.\r\n\r\nThe students were genuinely excited to use the materials provided and take the lead in organizing the event. They worked together to set up the space, create a welcoming environment, and make sure everyone felt included. For many, it was their first time helping to plan a schoolwide event, and the pride on their faces when they saw how much everyone enjoyed it was unforgettable. The event reminded us all that community building doesn't always require something elaborate — sometimes, it's about bringing people together to laugh, play, and make memories.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to build on this success by hosting more monthly social events that continue to engage both students and staff. It was amazing seeing the dedication and understanding of art in the schools. My goal was to encourage school pride by using the materials to add color and excitement to our school walls and windows. Unfortunately I was not permitted to use the materials as planned during that school year by the building manager at the time. My students felt somewhat dismayed, but we continued on.\r\n\r\nAfter being met with disagreement, the project was sidelined. We are refocusing and repurposing the resources to better fit our school environment. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to your continuing support on future endeavors.\r\n\r\nAs the year went on, there was a personal loss that I encountered very unexpectedly. As a result, I was unable to continue the remaining school days. I have not forgotten my goal and have continued to create other projects with my new students. The art program is very important and I really want to try and get as much done as possible to support the program. \r\n\r\nStudents have enjoyed seeing new items c9me to the art room.
