More specifically, I ask them to make maps that are reflective of ancient kingdoms that we are studying. For this assignment, they researched and created assignments based on the Ancient Egyptian Kingdoms. They had to create topographic maps with various information present. Afterwards, they presented the maps in front of the class. This has become a staple in my curriculum for my students. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for helping me this school year. Using Teacher Pay Teachers lessons, students learned how to divide a square into seven triangles or diamonds. From there, they chose an image that inspired them- such as a planet, frog, starfish, or even their name- and used each triangle to represent one of the seven elements of art. The visuals and examples provided helped students understand how separate elements could come together to form one cohesive image. Several students concepts especially warmed to this technology, gaining confidence and staying engaged throughout the project.
