First, thank you for supporting my classroom! It means the world (no pun intended) to me that you would support my scholars and me! \r\n\r\nEvery year, I complete a Map Making assignment where I ask the scholars to complete a map of the Ancient World. More specifically, I ask them to make maps that are reflective of ancient kingdoms that we are studying. For this assignment, they researched and created assignments based on the Ancient Egyptian Kingdoms. They had to create topographic maps with various information present. Afterwards, they presented the maps in front of the class. This has become a staple in my curriculum for my students. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for helping me this school year. I have been trying to keep the students engaged and make sure that they have fun while learning. One of my students was so inspired that she went on to create another map, which was then published in a magazine! I am so incredibly proud of her! I have had several students read the material. They used them as both Primary and Secondary source documents to research their assignments. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for the continued support! Your support helps to give me space to create fun assignments for the students, to keep them engaged, and it helps me to have the materials I need in order to teach the curriculum in today's time. The excitement in the room was incredible as they saw their drawings come together so clearly.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up. The cleaning supplies have helped us maintain a healthy environment, and students have taken pride in helping keep our classroom neat. This has encouraged responsibility and teamwork among students.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have been especially important. They help students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day. This technology allowed me to provide clear breakdown, step-by-step guidance, and engaging visuals that helped students better understand complex concepts, especially in our art curriculum. Having access to these resources made lessons more structured, accessible, and enjoyable for all learners.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of this new resource for my students was the creativity it unlocked. Using Teacher Pay Teachers lessons, students learned how to divide a square into seven triangles or diamonds. From there, they chose an image that inspired them- such as a planet, frog, starfish, or even their name- and used each triangle to represent one of the seven elements of art. The visuals and examples provided helped students understand how separate elements could come together to form one cohesive image. Several students concepts especially warmed to this technology, gaining confidence and staying engaged throughout the project. I also say students who are usually hesitant become excited to share their artwork and explain their creative choices.","fullyFundedDate":1761427596435,"projectUrl":"project/bright-minds-backed-funds/9544560/","projectTitle":"Bright Minds, Backed Funds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10029608_orig.jpg?crop=1320,1320,x0,y638&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746741592916","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10029608"},{"teacherId":1748258,"projectId":9300813,"letterContent":"This project has improved our look dramatically by allowing us to set our cheap paper folders aside for our performances.
