Our high school students are energetic, talented, and involved in a variety of activities inside and outside the classroom. Whether it's during class time, club meetings, or school events, we strive to create a learning environment that is structured, engaging, and compassionate. To support our students more effectively, we are requesting storage racks, supply caddies, a portable speaker, and a durable wagon. These tools will help us stay organized while creating more space for empathy, service, and collaboration.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe storage caddies and wagon will be used to transport supplies for school-wide kindness initiatives, care package deliveries, and community projects, such as making hygiene kits for shelters or distributing books and art kits to younger students. These experiences give students direct insight into the lives of people who may be struggling and help them understand different needs and perspectives.\r\n\r\nStudents will work toward alleviating suffering in others by creating systems that support those around them. With a more organized classroom, students will be responsible for maintaining shared materials used in school. The portable speaker will amplify student voices literally during assemblies, awareness campaigns, or calming mindfulness sessions they lead for their peers. These actions, though simple, are meaningful opportunities for students to bring joy, reduce stress, and create inclusive, uplifting spaces.","fullyFundedDate":1753118852977,"projectUrl":"project/rolling-into-compassion-connection-and/9455208/","projectTitle":"Rolling Into Compassion, Connection, and Community","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hawkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10075042_orig.jpg?crop=2300,2300,x0,y69&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752110149988","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10075042"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64992","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":113,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":51,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":40,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"6.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":36.4,"schoolId":64992,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Non-Traditional Programs @ Croom Vocational High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Non-Traditional Programs @ Croom Vocational High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/prince-george-s-county-public-schools/croom-high-school/64992"}
