The room looks vibrant and welcoming for all ages kindergarten-8th grade. \r\nThe bulletin boards have a clean and sleek look as well as a uniform look. Before, there were different finishes but now they're the same. Since writing is only 10% of the class time, students now do not have to worry about bringing a writing utensils to dance class. For those students that may need a break the fidget toys are perfect for behavior breaks. Not to mention the books provided for those who need to hang out in the calming space. Lastly I really enjoy using the mop because now it's easier to make sure the classroom floor is fresh for the classes being held the following day. \r\nThese donations really help me as a teacher support my students without having to always come out of my pockets. These donations certainly do not go unnoticed. Because of you, our school now has two much-needed microwaves; resources that are already making a powerful difference.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw them, their faces lit up. One student even said, \"Now I don't have to eat my pasta cold anymore!\" That simple joy has made our space feel even more like home.\r\n\r\nWe're using the microwaves in so many ways. In class, students recently conducted a science experiment on heat transfer, using the microwave to observe how different materials respond to thermal energy. They were fully engaged, asking questions, taking notes, and making real-world connections to what they were learning.\r\n\r\nOutside of science, the microwaves are helping students warm up meals and snacks during long school days. They've also become a fun part of incentive activities; like movie days with popcorn or warm treats to celebrate milestones and good behavior.\r\n\r\nNext, our students are diving into a cross-curricular project combining science, math, and art. They'll be designing and testing \"heat-safe\" packaging prototypes, inspired by real-world food delivery systems. The microwave will play a central role in bringing those designs to life.\r\n\r\nYour gift did more than provide appliances. It brought warmth, energy, and a spark of creativity to our students' daily experience. We are so grateful for your belief in them.","fullyFundedDate":1752671574773,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-learning-one-snack-at-a-time/9400927/","projectTitle":"Fueling Learning, One Snack at a Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gorham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10051538_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749233709218","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10051538"},{"teacherId":9284144,"projectId":9286733,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for funding our \"Feed That Brain\" project. Because of your generosity, my students now have access to snacks like honey buns, cookies, nuts, and drinks—items that might seem small, but have made a huge impact in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThese snacks serve a much greater purpose than just satisfying hunger. For many of my students, school is not just a place for learning—it's also where they find consistency, care, and a sense of belonging. Having access to nourishing snacks throughout the day has helped them stay focused, energized, and ready to engage with their learning.\r\n\r\nI've already seen the difference. Students who once struggled to concentrate in the afternoons now have the stamina to finish their work. Others feel comforted knowing that when they're hungry or didn't have time for breakfast, there's something waiting for them in the classroom. The availability of snacks has helped foster a more supportive, calm, and productive environment—where students can truly feed their brains and feel cared for.","fullyFundedDate":1746715562442,"projectUrl":"project/feed-the-brain-with-snacks/9286733/","projectTitle":"Feed the Brain with Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Royal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9284144_orig.jpg?crop=1739,1739,x295,y721&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699465092407","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msroyal93"},{"teacherId":9284144,"projectId":9208955,"letterContent":"I want to extend my sincerest thanks to you for supporting our classroom through the \"GAME ON: Bringing Fun to the Classroom\" project. Because of your generous contributions, our learning space is now filled with engaging board and card games such as UNO, The Game of Life, Operation, and Checkers—and the excitement these games have brought to my students is truly remarkable.\r\n\r\nThese games are far more than just entertainment. They have become tools for building community, strengthening social-emotional skills, and supporting cognitive development in a fun, low-pressure way. My students have been using these games to learn how to take turns, follow rules, strategize, solve problems, and most importantly—how to win and lose with grace. These are real-life skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nWhat has been especially beautiful to witness is how these games have leveled the playing field for all learners. Whether a student struggles academically or shines in traditional settings, these games offer everyone a chance to shine, connect, and contribute. I've seen shy students open up, competitive students practice patience, and disconnected students find new ways to bond with their classmates. While these may seem like simple items, they are absolutely foundational to creating a well-equipped and welcoming learning environment. With these supplies, my students are not only able to complete their work with ease, but they are also able to stay organized, collaborate effectively, and express themselves more creatively.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on my students' faces when we unpacked the materials was priceless. They immediately began brainstorming how we could use the markers to enhance our anchor charts, use the Post-it notes for group discussions and interactive lessons, and rely on the new staplers and folders to keep their work neat and organized.
