As someone who is new to the Wootton community, I have truly appreciated the outpouring of support. Your contributions have allowed me to transform my space for students in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThe lamps have created soft, warm lighting that has been especially helpful when supporting students with sensory needs. The snacks have provided not only immediate comfort, but also a natural conversation starter—helping me connect with students who needed additional support. These moments of connection have allowed me to sit with students, learn about their concerns, and make appropriate referrals to community resources.\r\n\r\nI also regularly use the fidgets you provided. Keeping them in an accessible storage bin allows students to choose one that helps calm them while we discuss challenging topics. They enjoy selecting the tools that work best for them, and it has made a noticeable difference in their comfort and engagement.\r\n\r\nTo share a few data points: since the start of the school year, I have had over 100 student walk-ins, and I currently work with a caseload of 15 students who visit the space weekly.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your incredible support—it has had a direct and positive impact on our students' well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1758321944048,"projectUrl":"project/calming-cozy-office/9659686/","projectTitle":"Calming Cozy Office","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Laguerre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9708077"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64789","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1870,"numTeachers":118,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":37,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":75.8,"schoolId":64789,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thomas S Wootton High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Thomas S Wootton High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/montgomery-county-public-schools/thomas-s-wootton-high-school/64789"}
