Many students utilized the pencils donated to help stay engaged in their learning and complete work on paper. Other students came without a charged chromebook and were able to borrow a charger to help complete digital assignments. The headphones helped students utilize speech to text services or even focus on their work without the distractions from the classroom. I am excited on how these supplies will continue to help us as the year begins. Being able to provide these resources without placing any burden on families is truly a blessing. I want to thank you for your kindness in helping set our students up for success. On behalf of the 6th-grade students and the entire faculty, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of Red Scarf Girl books. Your thoughtful gift will have a lasting and meaningful impact on our students as they embark on their journey to better understand world history.\r\n\r\nThe donation of these books is more than just the provision of reading material; it is an opportunity for our students to dive deeply into an important and powerful story that explores the personal and societal effects of historical events. Red Scarf Girl offers our students a unique perspective on life during the Cultural Revolution in China, and it encourages them to think critically about the impact of political and social change on individuals and communities. The themes of resilience, courage, and the importance of standing up for one's beliefs will undoubtedly resonate with them and inspire meaningful conversations in the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only enriched our classroom library but has also contributed to fostering empathy, understanding, and global awareness among our young learners. These books will help them develop a greater appreciation for the diversity of experiences in the world and encourage them to reflect on how history shapes the present and future.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your kindness and support. It is because of people like you that our students are able to experience such enriching educational opportunities. We are deeply grateful for your contribution and the positive influence it will have on their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1733495151194,"projectUrl":"project/inspiring-students-through-literacy-and/8980863/","projectTitle":"Inspiring Students through Literacy and Historical Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rapposelli","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsrapposelli"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64123","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":781,"numTeachers":66,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":13,"percentBlack":26,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.1,"schoolId":64123,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Neelsville Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Neelsville Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/montgomery-county-public-schools/neelsville-middle-school/64123"}
