Many different groups of students and staff enter the classroom each day and make comments to share how they enjoy the look of the room and its functionality. The stores are sturdy enough for adult use and our adult instructional leadership team often use them during our professional work times. The students find ease with picking them up and taking them in the hallway or different areas of the classroom to make small group discussions work well. Your support has made a meaningful difference in our classroom. These oversized Post-its have become a versatile and essential tool for teaching and learning. \r\n\r\nWe've been using them to create vibrant anchor charts that remain visible around the room, reinforcing key concepts and strategies across subjects. They've been especially helpful for our English language learners, who benefit from seeing vocabulary words and visual supports displayed prominently. The large size allows us to write clearly and include images or diagrams that aid comprehension and retention. \r\n\r\nStudents also use them during group activities for brainstorming, organizing their thoughts, and sharing ideas with their peers. This has encouraged more active participation, boosted confidence, and fostered collaboration in our learning environment. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our classroom is more engaging, inclusive, and supportive of every student's success. There are 8 students in 4th and 5th Grade who have been piloting the technology. They come from a variety of countries including Mexico, Ethiopia, Colombia, Honduras, and Brazil. They are all in the beginning stages of learning English and, as all of their instruction takes place in English, they often feel overwhelmed and need additional support to engage in the grade-level curriculum. \r\n\r\nNow that they have the iPads, they are able to use those as a support to help them access grade-level learning. One way they do this is by using the translate features on the iPad. They can use this to translate directions, preview a reading for class in their native language, and have cross-lingual conversations with peers, along with other uses. I and their other teachers have also been able to use the iPads to design multimodal lessons on the iPads that both teach English and the grade-level curriculum simultaneously. The iPads have helped us immensely in differentiating the learning so that these students can participate and engage while also improving their academic English. \r\n\r\nThe iPad cases were necessary to keep these incredible educational tools protected and able to be used with multiple students over a long period of time. After we received the cases, the students were able to begin using the iPads which has increased the quality of their learning.
