I wanted a comfortable area for students to engage with the material we were studying in class. I wanted something different than a student desk. I hoped the bean bags would be a natural fit and provide students the comfort that would be a bridge to more in-depth discussions. \r\n\r\nThe bean bags have created an area for acceptance and open discussion during my classes. Students use them for the conversation corner, but they also use them to work in groups and discuss their work. Some students have sat on them when they are having a difficult day. When this has happened, other students have provided support to the students having a difficult day. It is amazing what the change five bean bags provided to my classroom.
