The student reported feeling calm and soothed after using it.\r\n\r\nFrom a 4th grade teacher:\r\nWe use it together to regulate our bodies after recess. I turn off the lights and invite the students to sit with their feet on the floor and hands calmly in their lap. I turn on the light and ask them to focus on their breath while the color changes. I find the koala seems to make kids want to breathe more deeply and engage in the exercise more! We follow up with a gratitude entry in our journals as a warm up for writing with the light still on.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n.","fullyFundedDate":1746787418518,"projectUrl":"project/breath-emotional-regulation-always-ava/9251418/","projectTitle":"Breath Emotional Regulation Always Available Skill Building Practice Pal Breathe","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeMucci","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9996909"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55861","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":679,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":10,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"3 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":78.5,"schoolId":55861,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wentworth Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wentworth Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maine/scarborough-public-schools/wentworth-intermediate-school/55861"}
