My apologies at loosing something this important through the cracks of the academic year. One minute it's September.... \r\nThe materials that you helped to provide for my classroom have been received, put to use and are ready for the next year. The Genetics & Evolution kits have rounded out my curriculum. Previously, we used the provided pictures of what other people got for typical results. This year, we were able to find out own results and compare with typical. We even backtracked a time or two to figure out why our results were off from 'typical.' In particularly, the Evolution kit allowed us to do much more with microbiology including very specifically raising and experimenting on E. coli bacteria strains. The other hugely useful thing has been the T-pins. These were fantastic to use for 7th grade dissections. In the upcoming year, I will be teaching Anatomy & Physiology and know that our new pins are going to get a workout. \r\nAs always, thank you for supporting education, especially my classroom. It is through Donors Choose that I am able to flesh out a hands-on, engaging and challenging course from the bare bones of standards and requirements.","fullyFundedDate":1724327833003,"projectUrl":"project/biology-lab-updates/8622949/","projectTitle":"Biology Lab Updates","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3923166_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1474498780501","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/amanda-g-barker"},{"teacherId":9999253,"projectId":9256281,"letterContent":"With your generous donations we were able to purchase the microphones that increase our number from 8 to 10. This means that 10 students can have a microphone on stage at one time and if we switch head sets between characters we can easily have just about every kid with a microphone on stage as needed to deliver lines! This will help the students be heard and be full of confidence as they focus on acting and singing instead of only projecting.\r\n\r\nThis also means that parents will always be able to enjoy their students performing on stage and not miss anything their student is doing on stage.\r\n\r\nLastly, because we were able to purchase these with donated funds that means we have extra money in our budget to put towards the other elements of the show, such as staging, props, costumes, and lighting.
