My students now have access to a variety of seating options. I've been able to incorporate these resources into daily activities in a way that supports different learning styles and needs. For example, during a recent group project where students had to create a presentation on the solar system, they were able to choose the seating that best suited their collaboration style. Some students worked in small groups around the low tables with floor cushions, while others preferred to stand and brainstorm at the tall desks. The flexibility allowed them to move and collaborate in a way that felt natural to them, which helped foster creativity and teamwork.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless! Many of them were so excited that they immediately wanted to try out every seating option. The yoga balls were especially popular—some students even tried bouncing on the balls during independent reading time, and they were thrilled by the chance to move around while still staying focused. There was a sense of ownership and excitement in the room as they realized that these new resources gave them more control over their learning environment. It was wonderful to see how much more engaged and motivated they became, and how quickly they adapted to using the different seating choices to enhance their learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1726425935915,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-flexible-learning/8781574/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Flexible Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6548076_orig.jpg?crop=534,534,x1461,y1582&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1702332199494","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6548076"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13549","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":355,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":40,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"2 - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"13.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.8,"schoolId":13549,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lukeville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lukeville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/west-baton-rouge-parish-school-district/lukeville-elementary-school/13549"}
