They could hardly wait to open the boxes and start building, coloring, and playing together. The magnetic tiles quickly became a favorite during morning choice time, where students collaborate to create towers and patterns while developing fine motor skills and teamwork. The UNO and Connect 4 games are now part of our \"Fun Friday\" rotations, where students learn about taking turns, problem-solving, and friendly competition. The Hey Carter! My Brown Skin Affirmation Coloring Books have also sparked beautiful conversations around self-esteem, identity, and kindness.\r\n\r\nThe snacks and bottled water have been an incredible help in keeping our scholars energized and ready to learn throughout the day. Many of my students depend on classroom snacks to stay focused, and your support has ensured that no one has to learn on an empty stomach. The Crayola triangular crayons and Maped pencils have been used in writing and art projects, allowing students to comfortably practice their fine motor skills while creating colorful illustrations to accompany their writing pieces.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will use these resources to continue our \"Kind Kids Create\" project, where they'll write short stories and design artwork that highlights acts of kindness in our classroom and community. Thanks to your donations, they'll have both the tools and motivation to bring their stories to life.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has not only provided supplies but also created moments of joy, creativity, and connection in our classroom. They immediately began helping me decorate, choosing which borders and designs to place around our learning centers. The classroom now feels bright and welcoming, a space where every student feels proud to learn.\r\n\r\nThe academic materials have already become part of our daily routines. The headphones are used during literacy centers for reading programs and phonics practice, giving scholars the chance to focus independently. The crayons, pencils, and flair pens have been key tools for writing projects, creative assignments, and illustrating personal stories. The electric pencil sharpener has been a huge time-saver and classroom favorites. Students now line up to use it responsibly during transitions!\r\n\r\nA particularly special moment came during our first writing celebration. Students used their new Flair pens to publish their final drafts, decorate borders, and share their stories with classmates. They felt like real authors, and their pride was contagious!\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be diving into our \"Author's Study\" project, where students will create their own short books. We discussed colors and mixing and winter themes based on the materials and practice using our English language skills through this activity. \r\nWe look forward to using our STEM activity cards in order to build our language skills and our understanding of science skills. \r\nWhen students do well during a language activity or make a good grade on an assignment, they get stickers. For many of my students, who come from low-income backgrounds, having access to these resources makes math more accessible and engaging. Your contribution has had an immediate and positive impact on our classroom!\r\nWhen my students first saw the new whiteboards and dry-erase markers, their excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to use them, eagerly picking them up to solve problems right away. The ability to quickly write, erase, and revise their work has helped build their confidence and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. One of my favorite moments was during a fractions lesson—students worked together to break down and visualize problems, proudly holding up their boards to share their thinking with the class.\r\nIn addition to the whiteboards, we use pencils and paper for practicing basic multiplication facts, ensuring that students build fluency in essential skills. These resources have transformed our daily routines, making learning more interactive and engaging.\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using the whiteboards for problem-solving in multi-step word problems and geometry, while reinforcing foundational skills with multiplication drills. Thanks to your generosity, my students are developing a stronger mathematical mindset and a love for learning.\r\nYour support has given my students a tool that will help them grow as mathematicians throughout the year.
